Cole Haan has a line of customizable shoes called “Drivers”. As a proof of concept, Cole Haan purchased work bench tables, allowing customers the ability to customize their very own drivers via a mechanic. This test was successful, but it could be better.
Enter, Twenty Four 7. Our goal was to make this a more premium experience and design a single fixture that was both sleek and modern, but also craftsmen and bespoke. Twenty Four 7 was to design the fixture, experience, and then manufacture the new workbench. A second company, Sandstrom, would assist and provide graphic elements.
I designed a lot of this fixture and had a large roll in not only the overall look and feel but also down to how each component worked. It was my goal that the experience of building the shoes was as enjoyable as watching them be made.
